Haley Issacs
Choir Director
Haley Isaacs has been a choir director at Mount Si High School since 2013. Before that, Haley taught band and choir at Chief Kanim Middle School, 2008-2011. Mrs. Isaacs received her Bachelor of Art & Bachelor of Music degrees in Music Education from the University of Washington (Go Dawgs!), and her Master of Music in Music Education from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA (Go Owls!).

Haley is a National Board Certified Teacher and has served as the Women's R&R Chair for the WA-ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) Board (2017-2021), as well as has served as our WMEA (Washington Music Educator Association) Eastshore Region President (2015-2019). Mrs. Isaacs is honored to have been a part of the following performances: Bella Voce Choir - selected to perform in a Concert Hour at the 2018 WMEA State Conference in Yakima, WA; Camerata Choir - selected to perform in a Concert Hour at the 2023 NAfME NW Regional Conference in Bellevue, WA. ​
In her spare time, Mrs. Isaacs enjoys spending time with her husband and two energetic children, as well as their sweet pup Oskar. She recently finished her first marathon, loves curling up with a good book, frequently sips oatmilk chai tea lattes, is an amateur gardener, and loves spending time with friends and family.
Kyle Sauer
Choir Director
Kyle Sauer is thrilled to join the Mt Si High School choir program as a former student teacher at MSHS turned educator, passionately dedicated to fostering a positive and productive learning environment for all students. Before coming to MSHS, Kyle taught at Bethel High School in Spanaway, WA, for three years. ​Kyle brings a wealth of experience in choral performance, vocal jazz, musical theater, and music technology. They hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Central Washington University and an Associate of Arts from Edmonds Community College.
Kyle has sung in many different choirs throughout his life an including Choral Arts Northwest (Seattle), Wellspring Ensemble (Phinney Ridge), Vivace Community Choirs (Grahm), Soundsation Jazz Choir (Edmonds), and many many more. One of his favorite musical memories was singing as The Ogre in El Gato con Botas (Puss and Boots) - for elementary school student while at CWU.

Outside of teaching, Kyle enjoys science fiction, camping, video games, and sharing homemade baked goods. This summer was spent relaxing, singing in four different choirs, spending time near Lake Chelan with family, and driving down the West Coast for the first time to see the Redwood Trees.
Jake
Houser
ACcompanist
Jake is returning for his second year as the Mount Si High School Collaborative Pianist. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Jake Houser brings a rich blend of expertise to the world of music and education. With a composition degree from Central Washington, Jake currently works as a piano teacher and accompanist in the greater Seattle area. His recent accomplishments include winning the 2024 Wellspring Ensemble Composition Competition, and showcasing his jazz arranging at the 2023 ACDA national convention in Cincinnati, Ohio.
You can watch Jake perform with his band Treehouse and as a member in the Wellspring Ensemble. Outside of playing piano and singing, Jake loves to play Super Smash Bros Melee and is an avid roller coaster enthusiast!
