I'm a freshmen who loves to sing! What class should I sign up for?
You should sign up for Concert Choir! It's our all-freshmen group and you don't need to audition. Concert Choir is a great place to get familiar with choir at the high school, develop your singing skills, and make lots of new friends.
You can join Concert Choir even if you haven't had any previous choir experience, or if it's been a few years. We are experts at making Concert Choir be the right fit for every level of singer!
Can I do jazz choir as a freshmen?
Yes! You can audition for one of our auditioned ensembles, or sign up for our non-auditioned Vocal Jazz Workshop. Check out this page for more details on how auditions work - they happen in the Fall, so no need to audition during your 8th grade year. You should register for jazz choir now, though, so we can reach out to you with info!
Are there any opportunities this summer for singing in SVSD?
Yes! Summer Sing is BACK this year! Summer Sing will be from August 15 - 18 and incoming freshmen are grouped with the other high school participants, so it's a great opportunity to meet some of the people already in the choir program and experience the PAC before the school year begins. Check out all the info and get registered here.
I have more questions, who do I ask?
Click here to send an email to Ms. Woodbury & Mrs. Isaacs! We can't wait to meet you and make music with you this year!
