Can freshmen audition for jazz choirs?

Yes! We hold auditions for the Jazz Choirs in the first few weeks of school every year, to allow freshmen to be able to audition at the same time as upperclassmen.  Click here to view information regarding Jazz Choir auditions. 

Does it cost money to be part of choir?

Currently, Mount Si High School requires a $100 course fee to enroll in choir.  In addition to that fee, students will need to purchase a choir T-Shirt and (depending on their ensemble) pay to rent their uniform for the year.  There are small fees associated with some of our day trips, and any larger tours are paid for by students' families. 

We work hard to fundraise all year to be able to scholarship anyone who needs financial aid to participate in choir. Financial need should not be a barrier to participation for anyone, and we are happy to say that over the past 8 years, we have been able to fully meet every financial need that has arisen.
